Earnest Strunk

February 19, 1932 ~ November 23, 2020 (age 88)

Earnest Strunk, age 88 of the Paint Rock Community in Oneida, TN, passed away on Monday, November 23, 2020 at the Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.  Born February 19, 1932 in Oneida, TN, he was the son of the late Roy and Laura Bell Reed Strunk.  Earnest was a disabled Veteran of the United States Army, having been bestowed two purple hearts during the Korean War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife:  Jo Dean Owens Strunk; 4 children:  Daniel, Danny, Jimmy Ray Strunk, and Vicki Strunk Conley; and sister:  Dilly Strunk Lee of Cincinnati, OH.

Earnest is survived by his 4 children:  Jerry Strunk, Patty McGowen, Tammy Murphy and Roy Strunk; 15 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 1 sister:  Betty Jean Strunk Williams of Cincinnati, OH; and a host of nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to his dialysis team, DCI in Caryville, TN, for their loving and supportive care of their father.
